<p>(Press Release) On Friday February 4, 2011 PHCS students and staff conducted their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony led by Kendra Shipmon, School Director, Board President, Lonnie King and SABIS® Educational Systems President, Carl Bistany.</p>
<p>The 70,000 sq ft. school building in Parkview Station is part of a neighborhood revitalization project by Charter School Development (CSD) that has turned a vacant and downtrodden strip mall into a bright new school building which now is becoming an anchor for neighborhood renewal.<br />

The Ribbon Cutting ceremony followed introductions and remarks from invited guests, Mark Peevy, Head of the Georgia Charter Schools, and Larry Johnson, Dekalb County Commission Chair as well as special performances by students.  Dignitaries and guests were then treated to tours of the building.</p>
<p>Peachtree Hope Charter School is managed and operated by Minnesota-based SABIS® Educational Systems, Inc., which currently manages eight charter schools in five states across the US.  Peachtree Hope opened in the fall of 2010 in DeKalb County with 550 enrolled students in kindergarten through grade 5.  Peachtree Hope will expand by one grade level each year until it offers a full K-12 program.</p>
<p>Students at Peachtree Hope expand their education in an environment emphasizing a rigorous, college-preparatory academic program benefiting from SABIS® 125 years of global educational experience.  Peachtree Hope students wear school uniforms and are required to meet high behavioral and academic expectations. These students exemplify the school motto of, “Achieving, Leading, and Succeeding”.</p>
<p>Peachtree Hope is a member of the global SABIS® School Network, currently comprised of schools in 15 countries, 77 schools + 1 university,  educating over 60,000 students.  As is the case in all SABIS® member schools, Peachtree Hope provides its students with access to the SABIS® Educational System, a proven educational system helping students achieve their full potential.</p>
